LUCENA CITY — Two motorcyclists died and one other one was injured in two street accidents on Friday in Quezon province.

The Quezon police reported on Saturday, July 8, that Cedrick Villaverde, who was driving his motorbike, and his elder brother Ryan, 28, driving pillion, have been severely injured after a Nissan van pushed by Antonio Baasis hit their car on the street in Barangay San Isidro at 5:55 p.m.

Cedrick died on the spot from deadly accidents whereas Ryan suffered a head damage and a damaged left leg. Ryan was taken to the Mauban District Hospital.

The report mentioned Baasis tried to keep away from a person on the facet of the street who was about to hit his car with a chunk of wooden and consequently bumped the motorbike coming from the wrong way.

The police are conducting an investigation whereas Baasis stays of their custody.

The police didn’t say if the victims have been carrying crash helmets for defense as mandated beneath the Motorbike Helmet Act of 2009.

In Calauag city, police mentioned motorbike rider Rodel Anzano, 40, died after his car was sideswiped by a truck pushed by Noel Tandaan alongside the Maharlika Freeway in Barangay Biyan round 3:30 p.m.

The police mentioned Tandaan overtook the car forward of him however hit the oncoming motorbike.

The wayward motorbike crashed right into a metal put up on the facet of the street. Anzano who was carrying a crash helmet suffered grave accidents and died on the spot.

The truck driver was detained and is going through legal prices.
