It was an odd sight for Michigan motorists on Might 22 when a cowboy and his horse galloped alongside the I-75 chasing an escaped steer. The incident was filmed by Michigan State Police Second District, who recorded the chase scene with a dashcam and posted it to Twitter.

In a collection of posts a spokesperson for the MSP described the occasion intimately, writing that “a group of wranglers comprised of women and men corresponding to the solid of Yellowstone tried to wrangle a cow that was caught in a gravel pit on Belford Rd. Troopers stayed on standby to cease site visitors on I-75 if vital.”
The posts go on to explain what will be seen within the video, that the animal managed to flee all makes an attempt at seize, together with being chased by a number of horses and ATVs. “Ultimately after a lot tom foolery, the critter was captured and faraway from the freeway. Troopers reopened the freeway and issues shortly obtained again to regular. The bovine was not charged and is again within the pasture with a narrative to inform all the opposite livestock.”
In response to press reviews, the bovine was a steer named Lester, who escaped whereas being moved from a sanctuary to a close-by ranch and had been on the lam for six weeks. He’s now recovering from his journey, protected and sound at The Devoted Barn in Fenton, MI.
