WASHINGTON — A watch for an eye fixed, and a hurled microphone for a thrown drink.

When a concertgoer threw a liquid at Cardi B, the American rap star didn’t hesitate: she instantly threw her mic on the offending individual, in response to movies circulating Sunday on social media.

The incident, at a live performance in Las Vegas, made the influential rapper simply the most recent performer to undergo such an assault.

Just lately, pop star Bebe Rexha was struck within the head by a cellphone thrown by a New York concertgoer, and reportedly required stitches. And in London, somebody threw a bag containing the ashes of her personal mom at famous person Pink, in response to media studies.

Visibly shocked however just for a second, the New York-born rapper turned and hurled her microphone on the individual whereas cursing her out, as members of her safety staff jumped into the viewers.

On X, the social media platform previously often known as Twitter, a number of posts warmly praised Cardi B’s response, saying it was time that performers react aggressively to such assaults.
