Interim U.S. males’s nationwide crew head coach B.J. Callaghan has been pressured into his first roster transfer of the Concacaf Gold Cup.

Jackson Yueill has been added to the USMNT roster for the upcoming knockout stage, U.S. Soccer introduced Wednesday. Yueill will change the injured Alan Sonora, who was identified with a proper hamstring pressure.

The 26-year-old has earned 16 caps with the USMNT to this point and was a part of the 2021-winning aspect below Gregg Berhalter. Yueill, a Minnesota native, has made 170 mixed MLS appearances for the San Jose Earthquakes, together with 21 through the present 2023 season.

He has registered 12 objectives and 15 assists at membership stage over that point.

Sonora, 24, made his USMNT debut through the January window and since has made 5 appearances throughout all competitions. The FC Juarez made featured in two of the Individuals’ three group stage matches in opposition to Jamaica and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The USMNT topped Group A on objective differential and can face Canada within the quarterfinal spherical on July 9.
