Gloucester has confirmed that Lance Bradley, who served as Chief Govt Officer for the previous 4 years, will likely be leaving the membership and stepping down from his function.

Bradley’s departure marks the top of his tenure at Gloucester Rugby, the place he made important contributions to the group’s development and growth.

St Quinton expressed his gratitude for Bradley’s dedication and exhausting work throughout his time as CEO, highlighting his priceless contributions to the membership.

“Lance has decided that, after the incredible scenes of Gloucester-Hartpury winning the Allianz Premier 15s title last month and ahead of the new season, that now is the right time for him to step away, letting a new leader take the club on the next phase of its journey.

“He has led the club through a very difficult period, not least the vast challenges of Covid-19, and leaves the club in good financial health. He can be proud of what he’s achieved both on and off the field.

“I would like to express my thanks to Lance for his contribution to Gloucester Rugby over the last four years. We wish him and his family the very best.”

Gloucester’s Chief Operating Officer and former England lock, Alex Brown, has been appointed interim CEO of the club with “immediate effect”.

Brown, a respected member of the Gloucester Rugby community, played over 200 senior matches for the club since joining in 2003. In 2012, he received recognition with a Testimonial Year but retired due to injury.
